A film on autism based on a true story. Or how a person which is very very different from the rest of us, may lack the ability to do the obvious but has the ability to make other, wonderful things. Things which in most cases are not that wonderful for others. ‘Stand Clear of the Closing Doors‘ manages to transfer to the spectator the anguish an autistic person feels in the world it lives in as well as some of the magic triggered by simple, unimpressive things around us.

Despair, Passion, Dead-Ends. The struggle of two people who come together because of the “wall” the face. A “wall” that because of their character differentiates them from their social environment. A “wall” with which they are always on a head on collision… Being together may solve some issues but creates many more. The “wall” does not forgive.
Outstanding performances, a direction efficiently communicating the character’s anguish and frustration, realism to the extreme.
